I shopped around for a school. After checking out various schools, I felt that BAE offered by far the most robust TEFL curriculum.

As soon as I walked in the door at BAE, a student rushed up to me and said, "Are you thinking of coming here? You should come here! It's great!" and then took off to their next class. That pretty much sold me right there.

The three best things about BAE are: one, the competence of the instructors, two, the methodology the school uses, and three, the atmosphere. They're all great. The school is also accredited, it's convenient, and the price is right.

The BAE TEFL program was a great experience - they work you really hard, but you learn a ton. The methodology is cutting edge, and the instructors are fantastic. You come out with a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of TEFL. It's worth every penny. I definitely got my money's with; I had two job offers within two weeks of getting my certificate.

Many a times I have found myself in situations where unfortunately I wasn't given enough time to prepare a lesson, but was able to pull it off thanks to all the creative activities that I learned during TEFL. At the Wall Street Institute they also always could tell the difference between a certified teacher and one who had no previous training--I was able to create a much more comfortable learning environment for students who then came to class more excited and with much more desire to learn. I think that is what I treasure most from what I learned in TEFL Town--just how important it is to put students in situations that are comfortable and appropriate to their learning methods. Everything else just kind of follows. As much as I never wanted TEFL to end, it also is really nice to be a teacher in the "real world" and put it all into action.
