If you want to study on a full-time ESL program, you can choose from our two main study options: 1) the Intensive25, and 2) the Intensive30.

Both of these programs are I-20 eligible to meet the needs of international students wanting to visit the United States on student visas. Please refer to our immigration page for instructions on how to apply for an I-20.

We also offer the Intensive20, which is not I-20 eligible but may be ideal if you are living and working in Boston or traveling in Boston as a tourist.

Below is a summary of our three Boston English courses.

Intensive20

In the Intensive20 Program, you will receive 20 lessons of English instruction per week, from 9:00am-12:15pm, Monday-Friday.

The program consists of two courses: structure, which focuses on grammar; and communication, which concentrates on listening, speaking, and pronunciation.

Details:

• Classes Monday-Friday, 9:00am-12:15pm, for a minimum of 2 weeks.

• Classes beginning twice per month, year-round

• 20 total lessons of ESL instruction; each lesson lasts 45 minutes

• 10 lessons of structure

• 10 lessons of communication

Intensive25

In the Intensive25 Program, you will receive 25 lessons of English tuition per week, from 9:00am-1:05pm, Monday-Friday.

The program consists of three courses: structure, which focuses on grammar; communication, which concentrates on listening, speaking, and pronunciation; and workshop sessions, which concentrate on writing.

Details:

• Classes Monday-Friday, 9:00am-1:15pm, for a minimum of 2 weeks.

• Classes beginning twice per month, year-round

• 25 total lessons of ESL instruction; each lesson is 45 minutes

• 10 lessons of structure

• 10 lessons of communication

• 5 workshop lessons

Intensive30

In the Intensive30 Program, you will receive 30 lessons of English tuition per week, from 9:00am-3:15pm, Monday-Thursday and from 9:00am-1:15pm Fridays.

The program consists of four courses: structure, which focuses on grammar; communication, which concentrates on listening, speaking, and pronunciation; workshop sessions, which focus on writing; and an elective, which focuses on specialized topics.  

Elective topics vary from session to session and are selected by the instructor. Examples of past topics include: English writing, business English, pronunciation, American culture, and history of Boston.

• Classes Monday-Thursday from 9:00am-3:15pm, and Friday from 9:00am-1:15pm, for a minimum of 2 weeks

• Classes beginning twice per month, year-round

• 30 total lessons of ESL instruction; each lesson is 45 minutes

• 10 lessons of structure

• 10 lessons of communication

• 5 workshop lessons

• 6 lessons of an elective topic
