Class levels
The part-time
English classes at the Boston Academy of English are divided
into 6 levels. Each level is divided into sections A and
B. Students need to take 2 sessions (12 weeks), to complete
each full level.
To determine your appropriate level, you
will need to take a placement test
the week before classes begin.
Below is a summary of the main topics in each of the 6
levels.
Our beginner levels
concentrate on basic English grammar and conversation functions.
Students learn the simple tenses (present, past and future),
and among the topics covered are greetings and relationships,
events and activities, home and work, and appearance.

and shopping, going out and restaurants, and travel.
In this level, the grammar structures are
more complex. Students study the present perfect, past progressive

personal care, ethics and values.
The focus of this course is to help students
become more comfortable participating in complex conversations.
